Privacy Policy

Draft — not yet approved. This text is awaiting legal review and may change before launch.

This policy explains what personal data [LEGAL NAME] ("we") collects when you use the ReLaunch Company website and student portal, why, who can see it, how long it is kept and how to ask for it to be deleted.

Who we are

ReLaunch Company is run by [LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. We decide why and how the personal data described here is used.

For any question about your data, or to make a complaint, write to our grievance officer: [GRIEVANCE OFFICER], [GRIEVANCE EMAIL], [GRIEVANCE PHONE].

What the website forms collect

The contact forms, the community sign-up and the mentor application collect only what you type or tick:

  • your name, email address and mobile number;
  • a line about your situation, and the batch you are interested in, if you give them;
  • which consent boxes you ticked — joining the community, and being contacted on WhatsApp — and when;
  • the page you sent the form from, and any campaign details in the link that brought you to the site (source, medium, campaign, term and content).

No consent box is ticked for you. If you leave a box empty we do not add you to the community and we do not message you on WhatsApp.

Buying without an account

You can buy services on this website without an account. To do that we ask for your name, email address and mobile number, and record that you accepted the Terms and this policy, which versions they were, that you confirmed you are an adult, and when.

  • If you do not complete the payment, no account or purchase is created. We keep what you entered with the unpaid order for 14 days after the order was made, and then delete it.
  • If you pay, the order is added to the account that has your email address. If there is none, we create an account in your name with those details and email you a link to set a password. The details stored on the order are then removed, because your account holds them.

From then on, what your account holds is described below, and the purchase and its receipt are part of it.

What your account holds

If you register in the student portal we also hold:

  • your name, email address, mobile number and how you sign in (email and password, or Google);
  • which version of the Terms and of this policy you accepted, and when;
  • the profile you choose to fill in: headline, last role, industry, years of experience, length of break, city and availability;
  • a profile photo and a résumé, if you upload them. They are stored privately and are never given a public web address;
  • your enrolments, and for each payment the amount, tax, date and receipt number. Card and bank details are entered with our payment provider and never reach us;
  • whether you agreed to live sessions being recorded, and when;
  • your attendance at sessions, the recordings you opened and your progress through a programme;
  • short notes a coach may write about a session, seen only by the coach of your batch and by administrators.

If you apply to be a mentor

The mentor application asks for your name, email address and mobile number, your current role and company, the areas you can help with and the time you can give. Your LinkedIn profile and a line about your own story are optional.

It is stored with the other enquiries, marked as a mentor application, and administrators and coordinators can read it. We use it to consider your application and reply to you. It does not add you to the community or to WhatsApp messages.

Applying does not put you on the Mentors page. The team adds a mentor’s profile there separately.

Files delivered with a service

For some services our team uploads files to your purchase, such as finished work for you to download. They are stored privately and are never given a public web address.

Administrators, coordinators and coaches can open the files of a purchase. You can open a file once the team has sent it to you, by signing in. If the purchase is cancelled you can no longer open its files.

How long a file is kept:

  • a file sent to you: until 12 months after the service was delivered;
  • a file on a cancelled purchase: until 30 days after the cancellation;
  • a file uploaded and never sent: until 30 days after the upload.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and call you back.
  • To add you to the free community, if you asked us to.
  • To message you on WhatsApp, if you agreed to that.
  • To run the programme you enrolled in: sessions, recordings, resources, reminders and progress.
  • To take payment, issue receipts and keep the records that tax law requires.
  • To keep accounts secure and to have a record of who did what.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your data

  • Administrators and coordinators can see your contact details, including your mobile number, your profile and your résumé. Each time one of them opens a student profile or downloads a résumé, that is recorded.
  • The coach of your batch sees your name, your photo and your attendance in that batch.
  • The other students in your batch see your name, headline and photo. This is on by default; you can switch it off at any time with "Show me to my batchmates" in your profile.
  • If you join the WhatsApp community, its other members can see your mobile number, as in any WhatsApp group.

Nobody outside [LEGAL NAME] and the providers below is given your data, unless the law requires it.

Services we rely on

  • Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): hosting, sign-in, the database and private file storage.
  • Razorpay: online payments.
  • Our email provider: the emails the portal sends you.
  • Zoom: live sessions.
  • YouTube: session recordings, recorded lessons and video stories. A video is loaded from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, and on this website only after you press play.
  • WhatsApp: the community group, and messages you agreed to receive.

Analytics and cookies

This website uses analytics only if you agree. A banner asks you when you first visit. Until you press "Accept" — and always, if you press "Decline" — no analytics runs: nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookie is set.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages help people. It collects:

  • the pages you view on this website, and the site or campaign link that brought you here;
  • when you press an Enrol button or a "Book a Discovery Call" link, and that a form was sent — never what you typed into it;
  • your device and browser type, and your approximate location (country and city), worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store;
  • an identifier kept in cookies whose names begin with "_ga", so that visits from the same browser are counted as one visitor.

We never send your name, email address or mobile number to Google Analytics. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are switched off, and we do not use advertising cookies.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page. If you switch to "Decline", analytics stops at once and the "_ga" cookies are deleted from your browser. If this policy changes, we ask you again.

How long it is kept: the "_ga" cookies last up to two years unless you decline or clear them. Google Analytics keeps the visit data for [ANALYTICS DATA RETENTION — 2 OR 14 MONTHS, AS SET IN THE ANALYTICS PROPERTY].

Separately from cookies, this website keeps a few things in your browser’s own storage, which are not used to track you: your analytics choice, the campaign details of the link that brought you (for that visit only, so a form you send can include them), and the last list of batches it showed you. The student portal keeps you signed in using storage in your browser.

How long we keep it

  • A log of each email we send — its type, the address it went to and whether it was delivered — is deleted after 90 days.
  • The list of updates in a batch digest email (the titles of new posts, recordings and resources) is deleted 30 days after the digest is sent.
  • Session recordings stay available to a batch for a limited period after the session, 90 days unless your batch is told otherwise.
  • A basket order that was never paid is deleted 14 days after it was made.
  • Files delivered with a service: as set out under "Files delivered with a service".
  • Enquiries sent through the website forms, mentor applications included: [ENQUIRY RETENTION PERIOD — TO BE DECIDED].
  • Your account, profile and uploads: for as long as you have an account.
  • Enrolment, attendance, payment and receipt records: [RETENTION PERIOD REQUIRED BY TAX AND ACCOUNTING LAW — TO BE CONFIRMED].

Asking for your data to be deleted

If you have an account, ask for it to be deleted from your profile in the portal. If you only sent us a form, or cannot sign in, write to the grievance officer at [GRIEVANCE EMAIL].

When an administrator carries out an account deletion:

  • your name is replaced with "Deleted user", and your email address, mobile number and profile are removed;
  • your photo and résumé are deleted;
  • your sign-in is deleted, so the account can no longer be used.

What is kept:

  • enrolment, attendance, payment and receipt records, now attached to the anonymous "Deleted user";
  • the email log, which still shows the address an email was sent to until it is deleted at 90 days;
  • enquiries you sent through the website forms, as you typed them — ask the grievance officer if you want these deleted too;
  • records of actions taken on your account before the deletion, which may include your email address: [RETENTION OF THESE RECORDS — TO BE DECIDED].

Your rights

You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw a consent you gave, and ask for your data to be deleted. To do any of these, or to complain about how your data has been handled, write to the grievance officer named above.
